Logan Paul doesn’t always get what he wants.

On January 6th, John Cena will kick off a year-long retirement tour which will see him end his career in December 2025.

While any match involving Cena is a big match, the prospect of sharing the ring with the star during his final WrestleMania outing is on another level entirely. So perhaps it’s unsurprising that speculation around his opponent at the spectacular is already running wild.

However, according to reports John Cena vs. Logan Paul won’t be happening, despite rumours to the contrary. In fact, the idea of the match was met with “resounding disapproval” from several figures backstage.

Logan Paul Wanted John Cena Match

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that while the match might have been discussed it “100% isn’t happening.” Interestingly, it was Paul who requested the match, but given the recent news, his WrestleMania opponent remains a mystery.

Regarding some rumors, there probably were talks of Cena vs. Logan Paul at Mania and Logan Paul did ask for it, but we’re told it’s 100 percent not happening. We also know the idea of Cena challenging for a world title to break the so-called record of 16 by Ric Flair is something that at least as a month ago could happen.

At the WWE Raw on Netflix Kickoff Event on December 18th, it was announced that Logan Paul is now part of the Raw roster. The star had previously been exclusive to SmackDown, although he hasn’t appeared for the company since losing the United States Title to LA Knight at SummerSlam.

Following the Monday Night Raw bombshell, Paul admitted he’s a bully, before claiming he’s a World Champion in waiting.
