WWE RAW Reveals Dominik Mysterio’s Next Intercontinental Title Challenger

Dominik Mysterio made his return to WWE RAW this past month after being away from the company for the last few weeks due to a shoulder injury. He returned on the RAW immediately after the Royal Rumble event.

While he hasn’t yet wrestled on the show since his return, Mysterio is scheduled to face Gunther and Je’Von Evans in a triple threat qualification match for the Elimination Chamber.

However, before his qualification match, Mysterio found out his next challenger for the Intercontinental Championship. He hasn’t defended the title since winning it back from John Cena at Survivor Series.

Penta wins the number one contender’s match on WWE RAW

El Grande Americano wished to compete in an Elimination Chamber qualification match, but after Adam Pearce stated that all matches are already set, he asked for a shot at the Intercontinental Championship.

Americano took on Penta to become the number one contender, but was unsuccessful in getting the win. He had Rayo and Bravo at ringside, but they were neutralized by the ‘Original’ El Grande Americano.

This distracted the one who was competing in the match, allowing Penta to hit the Mexican Destroyer on his opponent to pin him for the win and become Dominik Mysterio’s next challenger for the WWE IC title.
