WWE Raw News For May 1st: Draft Part 2, Miz TV, Matt Riddle In Action, More
The WWE Draft continues on the May 1st episode of Raw with The Miz set to host his talk show while Matt Riddle is in action and there is more news as well.
There are some details coming out about what to expect on tonight’s edition of WWE’s Monday Night Raw from Forth Worth, Texas. It’s the second part of the WWE Draft. The new rosters following the WWE Draft will begin next Monday, May 8th so this week’s Raw and Smackdown will likely see wrestlers from both brands.
Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes will be at the show to continue to build their WWE Backlash match this Saturday, May 6th in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
In an update provided by WWE’s Byron Saxton on Twitter, they announced two things:
* Miz TV with Shinsuke Nakmaura as the guest. Nakamura was drafted to Raw on Friday’s Smackdown at the start of the WWE Draft.
* Matt Riddle will face Jimmy Uso in singles action. They are opponents at Backlash since Riddle will team with Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens against The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso & Solo Sikoa.

* Tonight’s Raw in Fort Worth, Texas is a sellout.
* Seth Rollins & Johnny Gargano are both expected to be drafted to Raw, which is not a surprise. Seth’s wife Becky Lynch and Johnny’s wife Candice LeRae were both drafted to Raw already.
* WWE had 30 Draft cards prepared for tonight’s Raw, which could mean 30 picks are announced. On Smackdown, there were 16 picks announced.
* There are 20 extras as security guards for an in-ring segment.
* At least two Hall of Famers brought in to read draft picks are John Bradshaw Layfield and Road Dogg.
PWInsider Elite mentioned Ric Flair is likely going to be there too. Teddy Long is likely to be on hand as well just like was for Smackdown.
