WWE Planning Huge Return For WarGames

Randy Orton CM Punk

WarGames is just around the corner for WWE at Survivor Series and now it seems that the company has had something huge planned for the show for several months.

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce had enough of the constant chaos surrounding The Judgment Day as another brawl broke out on the show. The Judgment Day, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Seth Rollins will now face off in WarGames as a result but it seems WWE has more up its sleeve for the bout.

A former WWE Champion is expected to be added to the match on The Judgment Day’s side and now it seems WWE knows exactly who they want to even up the sides and have done for some time.

WWE Planning WarGames Return For Randy Orton

Fightful Select has reported that the planned competitors for the men’s WarGames match have been on the slate for some time. Drew McIntyre’s involvement has seemingly been the plan for months as he will join The Judgment Day which explains his segments with Rhea Ripley in recent weeks.

As for who will join Rhodes, Uso, Zayn, and Rollins, WWE has been planning since the summer that Randy Orton would be on their side. The reveal of Orton as the fifth man is possibly going to play out on the day before Survivor Series to avoid any speculation that CM Punk will be revealed on the show.

It is important to note that things can always change but that is believed to still be the working plan for the match.

Randy Orton last competed back in May 2022 when he and Matt Riddle lost the Raw Tag Team Championship to The Usos. Randy Orton underwent serious back surgery which has kept him away from WWE for well over a year.
