Three Matches Added To WWE NXT Great American Bash

The lineup continues to grow for the NXT Great American Bash on July 30th as two more championships were added to the card.

Thea Hail will get another shot at the NXT Women’s Title held by Tiffany Stratton, but the next time they wrestle, it will be a stipulation match.

When Thea Hail challenged Tiffany Stratton for the NXT Women’s Title on June 27th, Hail tapped Stratton out. It should have been a title change with the 19-year-old Hail capturing her first championship. However, Drew Gulak was distracting the referee. Stratton came back to get the win and keep her title.

On last night’s NXT, Hail trapped Stratton in the Kimura Lock again and that led to Stratton agreeing to a NXT Women’s Title rematch at the Great American Bash. However, this time it will be a Submission Match, which could be in Hail’s favor since Stratton has tapped out multiple times at this point.

The Tag Team Titles will be on the line at the Great American Bash as well. Tony D’Angelo is “free” after two months in jail because his good friend Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo beat Joe Coffey last week on NXT. That led to this week’s segment where Tony & Stacks revealed they outsmarted NXT Tag Team Champions Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) into giving the D’Angelo Family a title match at the Great American Bash.

Meanwhile, Roxanne Perez has had issues with Blair Davenport for several weeks. Davenport is the woman that injured multiple women with backstage attacks in the past, so Perez has stepped up to try to stop her. Davenport beat Perez in their last match, so when they meet at the Great American Bash, Perez will have to bring more intensity into the match.

The NXT North American Title match was announced for Great American Bash with Wes Lee defending against Mustafa Ali. However, Dominik Mysterio beat Wes Lee for the North American Title on Tuesday night, so it looks like the match will be Mysterio against Ali. Perhaps Wes Lee could be part of it as a triple threat match, but that’s not known right now.

In the main event, Carmelo Hayes will defend the NXT Title against Ilja Dragunov, who picked up a big win over Bron Breakker last week to earn the title match.

All of that means the NXT Great American Bash lineup on July 30th looks like this.
