The main event of last night’s edition of NXT was a Fatal 4 Way match to determine the number one contender for Shinsuke Nakamura’s NXT Championship. The winner of the match was Bobby Roode as he defeated Tye Dillinger, Roderick Strong and Andrade “Cien” Almas.
Roode will now go one-on-one with Nakamura for the NXT Championship at NXT Takeover: San Antonio on Saturday, January 28; the night before the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

Mark’s reaction: This may end up being one of the greatest pairs of entrances for a single match, ever. Both these guys are clearly ready for the main roster and I’m expecting them to tear the house down in San Antonio. My dream scenario is to have Roode defeat Nakamura for the NXT Championship (it can be due to cheating), and the next night you can have Nakamura enter the Royal Rumble match at number one and win the whole thing. I doubt it will happen, but one can hope, right?
