WWE News: McIntyre vs. Goldberg Added to Royal Rumble Lineup, Updated List of Rumble Match Participants

The next WWE pay-per-view on WWE Network is the Royal Rumble on Sunday, January 31. It will take place at the WWE ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in Tampa, Florida. It’s not going to have fans just like all WWE events since last March dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last night on Raw, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre accepted the challenge by WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg, which means Drew will defend the WWE TItle against Goldberg.

What WWE kept mentioning during Raw is that Goldberg has yet to win the WWE Title in his career although he has won the Universal Title twice and the World Heavyweight Title once. That is in addition to the WCW World Title too.

Keep in mind that The Miz is also carrying around the Money in the Bank briefcase that has a contract that will allow him to challenge for the WWE Title (or Universal Title possibly) at any time he wants, so that’s something else to keep in mind.

There were also more names announced for the Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble matches as well.

Here’s what we know so far in terms of the Royal Rumble lineup.

30-Man Royal Rumble – Daniel Bryan, Elias, Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton, Riddle, AJ Styles and more.

30-Woman Royal Rumble – Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Bianca Belair, Bayley, Dana Brooke, Mandy Rose and more.

WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Bill Goldberg

WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Adam Pearce
