A big match has been added to WWE SmackDown on June 12th.

The WWE Universe is on the road to Night of Champions on Saturday, June 27th, in Saudi Arabia.

At Night of Champions, the King and Queen of the Ring will be crowned. There’s a huge prize for the winners since they will receive WWE or World Heavyweight Title matches at SummerSlam on August 1 & 2.

On the June 12th edition of WWE SmackDown in Providence, Rhode Island, the Queen of the Ring tournament will feature a 4-way match with Women’s Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca vs. Jade Cargill vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Lyra Valkyria.

Ruca beat Valkyria in a match on Raw earlier this week, while the Cargill-Flair rivalry has been an intense one. There are even reports that WWE could be saving the first-ever Flair/Cargill singles match for SummerSlam.

Meanwhile, Jey Uso, LA Knight, Finn Bálor, and Royce Keys square off in the King of the Ring Tournament. Balor has just recently moved to SmackDown, while Keys is relatively new. Jey and Knight are from Raw.

An addition has been made to the June 12th SmackDown since WWE announced that the Women’s Tag Team Champions – Page & Brie Bella – will face Fatal Influence in a non-title match.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Paige and Brie Bella step into the ring with the dangerous Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid of Fatal Influence in an exciting non-title match, tonight on SmackDown at 8 ET/7 CT on USA.

Gunther Will Announce Stipulation On WWE SmackDown

At WWE Clash in Italy, Cody Rhodes defeated Gunther to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship in a match that had a controversial finish. The controversy was that Gunther’s foot was under the bottom rope during the pin, which should have led to a kickout, but the referee never saw the foot under the rope, so Cody got the win.

On the June 5th edition of SmackDown, the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Gunther exchanged words, while Sami Zayn also got involved in the story.

As the show went on, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis informed Rhodes that Gunther is going to get a rematch for the WWE Title.

Since he’s a fighting champion, Rhodes accepted the fact that Gunther gets a rematch for the gold, but Rhodes insisted that their match take place on the June 19th edition of SmackDown in Kansas City. Aldis agreed.

On tonight’s June 12th SmackDown episode, Gunther will be allowed to pick the stipulation for the June 19th title match against Rhodes.

The advertised rundown for SmackDown on June 12th looks like this:

  • What stipulation will Gunther choose for his title rematch against Cody Rhodes?
  • Lyra Valkyria, Sol Ruca, Jade Cargill, and Charlotte Flair battle in the Queen of the Ring Tournament
  • Jey Uso, LA Knight, Finn Bálor and Royce Keys square off in the King of the Ring Tournament
  • Paige & Brie Bella battle Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid of Fatal Influence

There are three more SmackDown episodes that will be three hours long, including tonight’s show. Starting on July 3rd, SmackDown will revert to a 2-hour show format for the rest of 2026.

As always, we will have full coverage of WWE SmackDown right here on TJRWrestling.
