WWE Makes Historic Saturday Night’s Main Event Announcement
WWE has officially announced the date and venue of its next Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The last edition of SNME emanated in Montreal, Quebec, Canada at Bell Centre on January 24, 2026.
The show kicked off with a heated brawl between Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu, who were scheduled for a singles match, but the bout ended in a no-contest after both wrestlers failed to return to the ring.
Their segment ended with Drew McIntyre putting both Rhodes and Fatu through tables. The show also produced an incredible match between veterans AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura.
In the main event, Sami Zayn defeated Randy Orton, Trick Williams, and Damian Priest in a fatal four-way match to become the #1 Contender to then-WWE Champion Drew McIntyre’s title at the Royal Rumble.
Saturday Night’s Main Event is also historic, as it witnessed the retirement of two wrestling legends last year, with Goldberg retiring in July 2025 and John Cena wrestling in his final match in December.
WWE SNME Returns To Indiana After 34 Years
According to the latest announcement on WWE’s official website, the next edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event will be held in Indiana at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne on May 23.
It marks the promotion’s first return to Indiana since 2014. It is also historic in the sense that the last SNME was held in the state in 1992, which was 34 years ago.
The company has also announced that fans can purchase tickets on Ticketmaster starting March 20 at 10 AM local time. An exclusive presale will commence at the same time on March 19.
The event will be streamed live exclusively on Peacock for audiences in the United States.
Meanwhile, WWE is currently focused on building a strong card for WrestleMania 42, which is scheduled for April 18 & 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
