After weeks of uncertainty, WWE has confirmed the WrestleMania main events for nights 1 & 2

WWE’s creative team has made many pivots leading up to WrestleMania 42, something that is being observed as unprecedented because the build-up to the Showcase of the Immortals every year has the main events locked well in advance.

But now, the Stamford-based promotion has confirmed the two main events on the two nights of the show.

Night 1 will see Elimination Chamber winner Randy Orton face Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship, after Rhodes won back the title from Drew McIntyre this past Friday on SmackDown.

Night 2 will see Royal Rumble Winner Roman Reigns face off against CM Punk for Punk’s World Heavyweight Championship.

Triple H Could Book Double Main Events On WWE WrestleMania 42 Night 1

On the women’s front, Rhea Ripley, who won the Women’s Elimination Chamber match, will face Jade Cargill for Cargill’s WWE Women’s Championship.

Although nothing is confirmed yet, the company could have Ripley and Cargill’s match on night 1 before Orton and Rhodes’ headline bout.

WWE has been known to do this in recent years, for instance, in the Backlash PLE in 2023, where Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar was followed by Damian Priest and Bad Bunny headlining the event.

WrestleMania 42 is set to take place at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18th and 19th.
