WWE Legend Says Minnesota Should Join Canada: “Donald Trump Doesn’t Want Us”

One WWE Hall of Famer thinks Minnesota should leave WWE and head to Canada because of Donald Trump.

President Donald Trump has previously made claims that Canada could become the 51st state of the USA, raising eyebrows all across the world. More recently, the US state of Minnesota has been at the epicentre of issues related to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

Eight people are believed to have died so far in 2026 due to dealings with ICE or while in their custody. The highest profile cases are of Minneapolis residents Alex Pretti and Renee Nicole Good, who were both shot and killed by ICE agents.

And now the outspoken former Governor of Minnesota and WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura has called for drastic action.

WWE Hall Of Famer Wants Minnesota In Canada

Speaking on the SpinSisters podcast, Ventura made his case for Minnesota to jump ship and join Canada due to Trump’s apparent disdain for the state that has voted Democrat in every US presidential election since 1976:

Let me throw this out on your show, and we’ll get some headlines. Since Trump dislikes Minnesota so bad and we’re so out of control, let’s join Canada. Instead of Canada becoming the 51st state of America and losing their health care, like they said, they would never do that because they’d lose their health care. I’d like to see Minnesota, all of us, become Canadians.

Make this part of Canada, because it’s obvious Donald Trump doesn’t want us. It’s obvious that he’s ready to fracture the whole country for his own folly, whatever he’s doing. I think we should petition to get out of the United States. If they don’t want us, I’m sure Canada would be happy to take us.
