WWE Legend Threatens Legal Action After Huge Rey Mysterio Announcement
This former WWE legend has posted a major statement following this blockbuster Rey Mysterio announcement.
Rey Mysterio is one of WWE’s most iconic stars. The greatest Luchador of all time has made a name for himself in the Stamford-based company since he rose to fame in the 2000s during WWE’s Ruthless Aggression Era.
At age 51, Mysterio continues to wrestle at the highest level. He was part of this year’s WrestleMania in a six-man ladder match for Penta’s Intercontinental Title.
He will also be facing Penta soon for the IC Title in a much-anticipated dream match because on the latest episode of Raw, Penta put forth the idea directly to Rey and later went into Adam Pearce’s office to discuss it.
Mysterio has been a consistent performer on the company’s flagship show. But outside of WWE, another major announcement was made about Mysterio. He is now the General Manager of AAA Worldwide, the wrestling giant’s Mexican sister promotion.
This did not sit too well with his former rival, John “Bradshaw” Layfield (JBL), who took to X to make a threat.
WWE Legend JBL Threatens Legal Action Against Rey Mysterio
JBL, who was Mysterio’s WWE colleague in the 2000s, posted about the clip in which it was announced that Mysterio would be the new general manager of AAA.
To start a fire, the ever-entertaining Bradshaw claimed that he was “robbed” of the job and threatened to sue AAA and even said that he’ll be calling former WWE star David Otunga, who’s a lawyer. He took to X to rant about it.
I was robbed! I’m calling David Otunga and we are suing.

Fans in the comments were excited to see JBL start a feud and began petitioning for one last match between the Luchador and Bradshaw, with some suggesting that it should be for the AAA general manager’s chair.
AAA will have its event La Noche de los Grandes on May 30th.
