WWE Legend Officially Accepts John Cena’s Challenge For Final Match

John Cena is seemingly heading towards one last showdown with a WWE legend before retiring.

The Leader of the Cenation has shared the ring with several former rivals over the past nine months of his retirement tour. Last Saturday, the 17-time world champion went head-to-head with Brock Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza. However, the match saw him get destroyed by The Beast Incarnate.

While everyone wondered what was next for The Never Seen 17 after Wrestlepalooza, he took to X to campaign for a match against AJ Styles. Many fans have been vocal about seeing the two legends square off for one more time before Cena ends his in-ring career by the end of this year.

The Phenomenal One and the Leader of the Cenation last went one-on-one in February 2018, with the now-Hollywood star coming out on top.

AJ Styles Responded To John Cena’s Challenge

Earlier today, John Cena posted on X, stating that, unlike some reports claimed, he does not choose his opponents on his retirement tour. However, he requested that AJ Styles and WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H listen to the fans, using the hashtag #CenaVsStyles.

I do not choose my opponents, but I (even through tough times) ALWAYS listen to the fans. @AJStylesOrg
are you listening? Better yet @TripleH
….. are YOU listening??? #CenaVsStyles

While The Game has yet to comment, The Phenomenal One accepted Cena’s challenge on X. He stated that he hears the fans and is ready for the match.

I hear them loud and clear. Let’s do it, I’m ready!

Cena’s next WWE appearance is set to be at Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia. It would be interesting to see if he will square off with AJ Styles there.
