Ex-WWE Star Jessie McKay Announces Pregnancy
Congratulations go out to former WWE star Jessie McKay on the announcement of her pregnancy.
During her WWE career from 2015 to 2021, the talented Australian Jessie McKay was known as Billie Kay. She was one of half of a tag team known as IIconics with her best friend, Peyton Royce (Cassie Lee).
The two Australians spent several years wrestling before their WWE deals and spent nearly all of their WWE careers linked together.
On Smackdown after WrestleMania in April 2018, The IIconics got called up to the WWE main roster and attacked Charlotte Flair. They were often in tag team matches although it was before the Women’s Tag Team Titles were created in early 2019.
At WrestleMania 35 in 2019, The IIconics won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. It was a very emotional moment for them considering their long journey to get to WWE coming from Australia and making it to the main roster. Those WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles were only re-introduced in the company earlier in 2019. They held those titles for 120 days.
It was announced by Jessie McKay on Instagram that she is having a baby in December 2023. She has been married since 2015 and revealed in past interviews that they had been together since they were 19 years old.
Billie Kay was released by WWE in April 2021 at a time when the company released a lot of people. They also released Peyton Royce at the same time.
Six months later, The IIconics debuted in Impact Wrestling as The IInspiration (using the names Jessie McKay & Cassie Lee) and won the Knockouts Tag Team Titles in October 2021. They held those titles for 133 days and spent about six months in Impact Wrestling.
After their Impact run ended, Jessie and Cassie took a break from pro wrestling. Both women launched BrandArmy subscription pages which have done very well. They also had a podcast together. Jessie also has done acting work.
Cassie Lee and her husband Shawn Spears (Tye Dillinger in WWE) gave birth to a baby boy named Austin earlier this year in January.
It seems to be a big year for babies among women in wrestling because WWE’s Carmella (with husband Corey Graves) and Alexa Bliss (with husband Ryan Cabrera) are both pregnant and will have babies later this year.
