WWE To Make Historic Decision Regarding AJ Styles?

AJ Styles WWE Face

AJ Styles ended his legendary 25+ year career at the Royal Rumble this year. He officially hung up his wrestling boots after losing his singles match to Gunther in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

WWE personality Sam Roberts commented on AJ Styles’ retirement on a recent edition of the Notsam Wrestling podcast.

Roberts added that now that The Phenomenal One has retired, WWE should make the decision to induct him into the Hall of Fame this year. Roberts believes the timing is right, as Styles has only recently entered his retirement era.

“I think that it’s a layup that this year you put AJ Styles in the Hall of Fame. I think you can wait on John Cena. I think there are other things, but I think putting AJ Styles in now, right after you’ve raised his stock, would be a really, really good idea, and I think people would want to see it. I would put AJ Styles in the Hall of Fame this year.” (From 1:00:24 to 1:00:42)

AJ Styles Proposed For NXT General Manager Role In WWE?

Speaking further on the podcast, Sam Roberts also predicted what could be next for Styles in WWE now that he is officially retired. He suggested that the WWE legend could step into the role of NXT General Manager, as he would be a strong fit.

“I heard there’s an opening for the general manager now. AJ Styles for NXT general manager. I’m putting it out there. I don’t actually believe that, but there’s a lot that he could do.”

“Triple H was even hinting at the idea of him possibly becoming a coach on the post-show, but if NXT down there is run by Shawn Michaels and AJ Styles, I mean, forget it. Forget it.” (From 1:00:48)
