WWE News: Happy Corbin Will Face Madcap Moss at WrestleMania Backlash

Former friends have become rivals and now Madcap Moss will get a chance for revenge against Happy Corbin at WWE WrestleMania Backlash.

Corbin and Moss have been allies on Smackdown since last fall with Moss earning a reputation as a guy that told some bad jokes that most of the WWE Universe hated, but Corbin usually laughed at the jokes. Things fell apart in the months that followed as the duo targeted Drew McIntyre, who defeated Moss many times (including matches at Day 1 and Elimination Chamber) and also beat Corbin at WrestleMania 38 earlier this month.

Following his loss against McIntyre at WrestleMania, Corbin blamed Moss on the April 8th edition of Smackdown. Corbin attacked Moss, but Moss fought back. However, it meant it was the end of their alliance.

This week on Smackdown, Moss defeated Angel of Los Lotharios with Moss getting the win in under two minutes.

After the match, Corbin hit Moss with a forearm to the back followed by the End of Days slam. Corbin also stole the Andre the Giant battle royal trophy that Moss won on the April 1st edition of Smackdown. Corbin also won the Andre the Giant battle royal trophy in 2016.

On Saturday’s edition of Talking Smack on Peacock/WWE Network, it was announced that Corbin will face Moss at WrestleMania Backlash on Sunday, May 8th in Providence, Rhode Island. It’s likely that WWE will announce a few more matches for the show that is two weeks away.
