“I’m Praying” – WWE RAW Star’s Injury Addressed After Forced Match Stop

This WWE Hall of Famer addressed an injury that took place live on Raw last Monday.

Injuries are commonplace in wrestling since it’s a highly physical business. Despite matches being planned and coordinated with bumps and spots pre-decided and practiced, there is always a chance of something going awry when the performers perform live.

A botched move, a stiff sell, a bad landing, a harsh bump, all lead to injuries that range from mild to severe in level. This past Monday on Raw, rising WWE star Je’Von Evans suffered an injury during his match against El Grande Americano. The injury took place during the commercial break.

When Raw returned after the break, Evans was seen holding his shoulder and was helped by doctors. This injury has come at a bad time for Evans, who recently moved up the ranks from WWE’s developmental brand NXT to the main Raw roster only a few weeks ago.

The injury will definitely hinder his momentum, and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T spoke about it recently on a podcast.

Evans fell badly on his shoulder on Raw and was also checked for a concussion. Booker T spoke about the injury on the Reality of Wrestling podcast.

The five-time WCW champion shared his insights on wrestling injuries and how a wrestler getting injured is a matter of “when” rather than “if”.

Je’Von Evans, taking a big spill. Now, my thing is, it’s not a matter of if something’s going to happen in this business, just a matter of when, just a matter of when.

All it takes once, all it takes one time. And then you realize, man, I am mortal. I can get hurt.

I’m hoping, and I’m praying that Je’Von Evans is not injured… Could it have been a stinger? Could it have been a dislocated shoulder that just got popped back in? Of course. Could it have been something more serious? Yes, it could have.

Booker T also says that Evans has already taken more risks with his wildly high-risk moveset than he ever has in his entire career.
