At 55 years old, a WWE Hall of Famer is considering wrestling more matches in 2026.

Rob Van Dam spent last year on the shelf after getting injured in April when he competed in the MLW Battle Riot match.

Van Dam competed as a surprise entrant, coming in at #40. He was eliminated when Matt Riddle pushed him off the top turnbuckle. Unfortunately, the veteran landed on his heels, injuring them both in the process.

Speaking on his recent podcast, the veteran wrestler revealed that he was aiming to secure more bookings in 2026.

I am right now just wondering, maybe I’ll wrestle a little more than I thought I would this year. I feel awesome. Training really hard and training good, sleeping good.

RVD also provided an update on is injury, claiming that he was no longer in pain and was much more mobile.

The last match I had was in April when I broke both of them for MLW. And so it’s been a bit of a comeback. I haven’t wrestled since then. I imagine my feet will be probably a little bit sore, but they’re not holding me back now from running, training, spinning, kicking. [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]

Rob Van Dam Reveals Why He Left WWE

On one of his earlier podcasts, Rob Van Dam revealed why he decided to leave WWE.

His decision stemmed from his 30-day suspension following his arrest alongside Sabu for marijuana possession. He was also forced to relinquish his WWE and ECW Championships.

RVD further stated that the Stamford promotion’s version of ECW was in decline, which affected his motivation.

I got suspended for 30 days, and then both championship belts were forfeited. Then I felt like ECW was in the toilet, swirling down the drain, and they wanted to flush it, so my passion was gone.

In late last year, RVD revealed that he would be competing next in February in Australia.
