WWE Faction Makes AJ Styles Mad
AJ Styles says a WWE faction, Fatal Influence, makes him mad.
The Fatal Influence faction, consisting of Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid, recently made their main roster debut on the April 24, 2026, edition of SmackDown.
On their debut night, they attacked Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Brie Bella and Paige. The faction has also been feuding with top stars like Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley on SmackDown.
WWE Hall of Famer AJ Styles recently commented on Fatal Influence’s main roster debut on SmackDown during a recent episode of his Phenomenally Retro podcast. Styles stated that Fatal Influence gives him a vibe of a Mean Girls group that would bully his daughter, which makes him mad. But irrespective of his feelings, he added that the heel faction is doing a really good job in WWE.
“I think what I like about that group is they look like the kind of people that would bully my daughter, and that makes me mad. So I was like, ‘Oh, they’re doing so good.’ It’s the opposite of how I would feel, but knowing what they’re doing, how they’re doing their job, and they’re doing it well. So I’m like, ‘Alright, keep doing what you’re doing. This is good. This is good stuff.’” [H/T Fightful]
AJ Styles On Kairi Sane’s WWE Release
Speaking on the same episode of his podcast, AJ Styles also commented on Kairi Sane’s recent departure from WWE. He stated that he did not expect Sane to be released because she was doing a great job in her recent storyline with Asuka and IYO SKY. Styles added that he doesn’t think Sane left WWE by choice, and he is unsure where she will end up next.
“Yeah, I think everybody is a little confused, Asuka and her as a tag team, and then it just kind of. We don’t know exactly what the case is. I mean, that one caught me off guard as well. It was a great tag team thing. I feel Kairi was doing her best work, as of now.”
“So, I wish I had answers. I don’t have answers for you guys, I don’t. I don’t know what this means for her. I don’t know if she’s done wrestling. She’ll go back to Stardom, like, what’s next for Kairi Sane? I know that she was loved and she was amazing, and yeah, I just hate that.”
“I will say this. The first time that she left, she went home to Japan, and I don’t know if that has anything to do with it. I doubt it was her choice because I feel she was going well.”
