WWE Reportedly “Extremely Interested” In AEW’s Wardlow

A new report has claimed that The Pinnacle’s Wardlow is seen to have a lot of potential by WWE, which is “extremely interested” in luring him away from AEW.

Wardlow made his first appearance in AEW back in November 2019, becoming MJF‘s monstrous enforcer during his feud with Cody Rhodes. Since then, ‘Mr. Mayhem’ has continued his alliance with MJF and joined him in Inner Circle before MJF turned on the group to form his own faction, The Pinnacle, which also includes FTR, Shawn Spears, and Tully Blanchard.

In recent weeks, he has started to make his mark as a singles star by decimating opponent after opponent with a “symphony of powerbombs”.

Wardlow’s AEW career record now stands at a huge 40 wins and only 6 defeats, making him the number 2 ranked contender in the company.

Now, the WrestleVotes Twitter account has reported that they believe WWE will be “extremely interested” in hiring the war dog and says there are those within that company who love his potential.

“With his biggest match to date happening later tonight, I can confirm, without hesitation, that WWE will be extremely interested in luring Wardlow away from AEW when his contract is due. There are several people within World Wrestling Entertainment that LOVE his potential.”

On the most recent episode of Dynamite, Wardlow clashed with CM Punk, decimating the “Voice of the Voiceless” with powerbombs. Just when he looked on the verge of victory over the veteran, however, MJF jumped up on the apron, accidentally distracting his teammate and allowing Punk to score the pinfall with an Inside Cradle.

MJF berated Wardlow following the loss, almost causing a split between the pair before Shawn Spears ran in to calm the situation down.
