Seth Rollins returned from injury for his first match in months, and it was against Gunther at WWE WrestleMania 42
Seth Rollins vs Gunther at WrestleMania 42 is a match that was decided for the card only a few weeks ago when Gunther saved Paul Heyman from Seth Rollins’ deadly curb stomp.
Gunther made his intentions clear last week when Rollins confronted him, looking for answers on the motivations behind The Ring General’s attack on him. He said that he is a better wrestler than Rollins and that Rollins. p*sses him off.
The Ring General made it clear that it is personal for him, and the two squared off in an intense bout at WrestleMania 42, which began with a fight at ringside before the two men entered the ring to start the match.

Both competitors got moves in on the other, with Rollins at one point powerbombing Gunther into the turnbuckles from the top rope.
The match, which felt less like a technical wrestling bout and more like a fight, saw intense action. Rollins delivered the pedigree and the stomp to Gunther, and The Ring General kicked out of a pin after.
Rollins later countered Gunther’s deadly sleeperhold with brute strength.
He later put Gunther in a sleeper of his own that Gunther managed to break by getting the ropes. The action later went to ringside as both men destroyed each other with special moves on the announcer’s table.
Just as things were heating up, to everyone’s surprise, Bron Breakker returned to spear his nemesis, Seth Rollins.
Gunther took advantage of the distraction and put Rollins in a sleeper, but this time, The Architect passed out and lost to The Ring General.
