Ex-WWE Champion Addresses IYO SKY’s Health Situation: “I Think That’s Blind”
Former WWE champion has revealed that IYO SKY suffers from a medical eye disorder.
Sky is currently one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Rhea Ripley. The duo, known as RHIYO, is set to defend their Women’s Tag Team Championships against The Irresistible Forces Nia Jax and Lash Legend on next week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
IYO SKY Suffers From Myopia
Speaking on the latest episode of Zelvx and Charlie Girl podcast, hosted by Zelina Vega and Dakota Kai, former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Dakota Kai, who is also Sky’s former Damage CTRL partner, revealed that Iyo Sky suffers from a medical condition called myopia.
Myopia is an eye condition in which distant objects appear blurry and is commonly referred to as nearsightedness. Kai shared that she also has myopia, though her vision is only minus one, while Iyo Sky reportedly has minus 12 vision.
“So basically how it works is you get a number, right? Mine’s like -1, which is not large in the scheme of things. IYO told me one time that hers is -12, and I was looking at her like, ‘I think that’s blind,’” she said.
“One time, she did tell me one of them flew out during a match, and she was freaking the f*ck out. Because I think she literally is kind of blind without the contact,” she added.
Despite dealing with this condition, Sky continues to perform at an elite level and consistently delivers standout performances every time she steps into the ring.
