TKO has faced a lot of criticism for WWE’s latest product, and Vince McMahon’s coming back could change everything.

Vince McMahon stepped down from his position as executive chairman of TKO Group Holdings in January 2024 following a lawsuit filed by a former employee alleging sexual assault, sex trafficking, and physical abuse.

The lawsuit is still ongoing, and the accuser, Janel Grant, made her first public appearance recently and slammed WWE for labelling her relationship with McMahon a consensual one. She even blamed the non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) that people use to keep victims quiet and continue to torture them.

This indicates that there is indeed no way back for McMahon; however, her public appearance and subsequent speech were not well-received. Many blamed Grant for being part of the problem and flipping the narrative as per her convenience.

Regardless, McMahon remains far away from WWE, but there could be a way back for him yet.

Former NXT Star Says TKO Could Bring Vince McMahon Back

Martin Stone (Danny Burch), on his The Masters of Wrestling podcast, revealed a theory he had about Vince McMahon’s exit and how and why TKO could bring him back.

TKO has been criticised heavily by fans and analysts for a subpar WWE product that is struggling to sell WrestleMania 42 tickets and keep its TV ratings high. Stone says this could be the time they turn to Vince McMahon.

You know, again, my wild theory was that Vince was pushed out. They then tank the product by writing very, very bad television each week. The numbers don’t lie. The numbers are dropping. The numbers for pay-per-views don’t lie with obviously what’s going on with the Elimination Chamber, and obviously the fact that there are still tickets available for Wrestlemania.

Um, so you tank the product with god-awful storylines and then the fans’ outcry for we want Vince.

All of a sudden, it’s a really good idea by TKO to bring Vince McMahon back. (1:57 onwards)
