A 3-time WWE Champion shared a cryptic social media post amid their absence from television.

Dragon Lee gained massive momentum in the second half of 2025 after teaming up with AJ Styles. The duo competed against the likes of Los Americanos before starting a feud with the Judgment Day.

At the time, Styles was also involved in a singles rivalry with Dominik Mysterio, during which he unsuccessfully challenged for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam in August and a month later on Raw.

The quality of tag team matches that Lee and Styles produced saw them earn a tag team title shot, the belts at the time held by Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.

On the October 20 taping of WWE Raw, they defeated Balor and McDonagh to become the tag team champions together for the first time. They held the title for 70 days before losing it to The Usos on December 29.

Lee has also been the WWE Speed Champion and NXT North American Champion once.

Dragon Lee Injured At WWE WrestleMania

Despite AJ Styles’s retirement at the Royal Rumble, Dragon Lee’s momentum in WWE continued, as he briefly feuded with former World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.

Their only singles match took place on the March 2 taping of Raw, where The Ring General defeated Lee.

Lee also continued making appearances on AAA Lucha Libre and Main Event while competing in matches on the red brand.

He also received a crack at the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 42 in a six-man ladder match, with Penta as the defending champion.

The match expectedly saw the wrestlers use multiple pieces of equipment, including ladders, to their advantage. Penta eventually retained his title.

During the match, Lee also fell victim to several high-risk moves, including a Spanish Fly off the ladder.

Yesterday, Dragon Lee took to X to post a cryptic tweet, which simply stated, “2-3 weeks.” This got fans to speculate about a possible injury he sustained at the Show of Shows that was keeping him from making television appearances.

The injury was further confirmed by Cory Hayes of Bodyslam, who wrote on Twitter that the Mexican luchador was banged up following the ladder match at WrestleMania 42.

When Is Dragon Lee’s Return To TV Expected?

Considering Dragon Lee’s tweet came out yesterday, wrestling fans could see him inside the squared circle by the end of May.

WWE is scheduled to host AAA Noche de Los Grandes on May 30 in Monterrey, Mexico, where one of the high-profile bouts is the Mask vs. Mask match between the Original El Grande Americano (Chad Gable) and El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser).

Also, El Hijo del Vikingo will challenge El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. for the Latin American Championship. More matches will be announced in the lead-up to the event.

It remains to be seen if Dragon Lee will be a part of the AAA show in Mexico.
