What Really Happened With WWE’s Seth Rollins And NFL Network Co-Host
Seth Rollins and NFL Network co-host Kyle Brandt had some fun laughing at people who overreacted about their “fight.”
In addition to being a 6-time WWE World Champion and one of the biggest names in WWE history, Seth Rollins also appears on NFL Network as a co-host of the popular Good Morning Football show.
Rollins has been a regular on GMFB for most of the last year, although he’s not on every day, and it doesn’t interfere with his WWE schedule. Currently, Rollins is on Mondays on Raw.
On the Thursday, April 23rd edition of GMFB, Rollins and regular co-host Kyle Brandt had a heated argument. They argued about NFL legend Aaron Rodgers competing in the NFL at age 42, and Rollins made the point that competing at WrestleMania is harder than the NFL. Rollins ended up walking off the set because of this argument that also included Brandt mentioning Seth’s wife, WWE’s Becky Lynch, who is the Women’s Intercontinental Champion after winning at WrestleMania, unlike Rollins.
Rollins: “Yeah, you know what? I don’t really appreciate this. I don’t have to do this. I don’t have to be on your show. I do want to be here, but not when I’m treated like this. I don’t have to do this. You want to steal every segment? You want to steal all the show, that’s your thing…”
Brandt: “Why don’t you steal one, I’m waiting…”
Rollins: “I’m here right now and actually have a segment, so you don’t have to look at me…”
Brandt: “Seth’s gonna go, maybe we can get Becky to come in and actually win something for us. That’s how it works for you guys, so maybe she can do the segment. He’s taking his ear piece off — what are you doing?”
Rollins: “I told you, you can do the rest by yourself. You can do the rest by yourself.”
Brandt: “Oh, thank God. Finally. This is going worse than you and Paul Heyman…”
That last remark by Kyle Brandt was a shot at Seth Rollins and his failed run with The Vision, managed by WWE Hall of Famer, Paul Heyman.
Seth Rollins Clarified What Happened On Good Morning Football
After the Rollins-Brandt argument took place, it was shared all over the internet and social media as people speculated whether it was real or a work like pro wrestling. Many people thought it was a work, and if you did, you got it right.
Rollins and Brandt had a staredown on the April 24th episode of GMFB and then they shared a hug, along with laughter. They confirmed their “fight” was just a work.
Rollins: “Oh, I’m doing great—I’ve never been more proud of you in my entire life.”
Brandt: “How’s the last 24 hours been? Mine’s been weird… I had a Pro Football Hall of Famer text me, ‘Oh my God, what the heck was that? Are you alright?’”
Rollins: “I had a very, very high-ranking official in my own company—won’t name names—send me a voice note, making sure that he didn’t have to get involved with Good Morning Football. I don’t know what the plan was or what he was thinking, but kudos to you—it was your major brainchild.” (H/T Ringsidenews)
As for his WWE life, Seth Rollins lost to Gunther at WrestleMania 42 due to Bron Breakker, and it looks like Rollins will be facing a healthy Breakker soon.
