Vince McMahon Faces Accusations Of Manipulating WWE Stars
Vince McMahon has been accused of getting into the minds of many WWE stars during his time in charge of the company.
Vince McMahon led WWE for forty years before the company was taken over in September 2023. McMahon was given the cushy role of Executive Chairman of the newly formed TKO Group, but his time in that job proved short-lived.
McMahon was accused of serious sexual abuse and sex trafficking in a bombshell lawsuit filed by a former WWE employee. With sponsors threatening to pull their support, McMahon was told to resign from his Executive Chairman position, ending his official association with WWE.
A lot has been said about Vince McMahon’s time in charge of WWE, and now one former champion in the company has accused his former boss of “Jedi mind tricks.”
Is Vince McMahon A Jedi?
Speaking on the Mic Check podcast, former WWE US Champion Mr Kennedy – now best known as Ken Anderson – explained how Vince McMahon could get in the head of his stars:
I’ve heard several wrestlers say you can stand outside Vince McMahon’s office, go in there with one mindset — ‘It’s my way or the highway.’
He f*****ing Jedi mind-tricks you every time. You’d be like, ‘I’m going to say this, this, and this.’ Alright, here we go. You go in and say, ‘Vince, listen, I think blah blah blah.’ Vince would say, ‘Well, you know, you don’t actually want it to be that way.’ Then you’d go, ‘Uh-huh.’
He would describe and explain it in a way where you’d go, ‘Yeah, that makes sense. It makes sense why I should continue to do things the exact same way I’m doing them right now.’ Okay, cool. Vince would be like, ‘You feel better?’ You’d say, ‘Yeah, I do.’ You shake his hand and walk out the door. And as soon as you cross the threshold, you’re like, ‘F***! He did it again.’
