Updated WWE Clash of Champions Lineup: Intercontinental Title Ladder Match and Smackdown Tag Team Titles Added

The next WWE pay-per-view is Clash of Champions on September 27. It’s a show where all of the WWE Raw and Smackdown titles are on the line. Last night on Smackdown, we learned of two more matches that are now official.

The Smackdown Tag Team Titles will be on the line with Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura defending the titles against Lucha House Party. They have had matches in the past. Last week on Smackdown, Lucha House Party beat Cesaro/Nakamura non-title after Street Profits showed up to distract Cesaro/Nakamura, so that’s why LHP are getting the title shot.

Another match that was made official is the Intercontinental Title match with champion Jeff Hardy challenging the self-proclaimed champion Sami Zayn (who never lost his version of the IC Title) and former champion AJ Styles. Hardy attacked both guys with a ladder and then challenged them to a ladder match. It was made official after the show. It should be an awesome match.

You can see how it was set up here.

There are still a few more title matches that need to be set up at Clash of Champions.

The Raw Tag Team Titles will be up for grabs when the Street Profits defend the gold against one of these three teams that are in a match on Raw: Dominik Mysterio/Humberto Carrillo, Seth Rollins/Murphy and Andrade/Angel Garza. Two of those teams are very dysfunctional, so it will be interesting to see how it goes.

The US Title held by Bobby Lashley will be defended as well although there’s no obvious opponent right now. Perhaps it will be Lashley against former champion Apollo Crews because there hasn’t been anybody else that has stepped up. We should find out more on Raw.

The Raw Women’s Title held by Asuka will also be on the line. Zelina Vega challenged her on Raw, but it’s not an official match yet. Perhaps Vega will win some number one contender’s match on Raw to earn the title shot.

The updated Clash of Champions lineup looks like this.

WWE Championship Ambulance Match: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton

Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jey Uso

Intercontinental Championship: Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Sami Zayn (c?) vs. AJ Styles

Smackdown Women’s Championship: Bayley (c) vs. Nikki Cross

Women’s Tag Team Championships: Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax (c) vs. Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan

Smackdown Tag Team Championships: Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro (c) vs. Lucha House Party (Kalisto, Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik)
