Positive Update On Stone Cold Steve Austin’s WWE Future
Big news for WWE fans who have been itching to see this Legend make an appearance again.
According to a report via WrestleVotes Radio, Fightful Select, WWE has been having internal discussions to have Stone Cold make an appearance in the very near future.
It isn’t clear whether they want him in action or for an attendance announcement (like he did at WrestleMania 41) or as a guest referee. The reason Stone Cold didn’t get physical during this appearance was due to a knee replacement surgery he had undergone only a while ago.
Austin explained this to Airel Herwani on the MMA hour.
I’m feeling really good… I’d imagine I’m about 30–35% of full capacity. So I did what I could.
In a recent appearance on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast, Austin revealed that even though he could, he wouldn’t compete in the ring again. He detailed his feelings about his in-ring return and match with Kevin Owens, showering praise on Owens for protecting him and working well with the Texas Rattlesnake, who hadn’t had any practice in a long time.
WWE Yet To Confirm Stone Cold’s Role In Return
Since his surprise match against Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38 in 2022, Stone Cold has made sure to keep himself fit and ready for the right time to come around.
WWE has yet to decide what they might make the Texas Rattlesnake do on his return, but from what the reports suggest, the appearance could be around the corner, as early as the Royal Rumble.
WWE fans will wait with bated breath to hear the glass shatter one more time.
