“I’m Not Gonna Sue Him Or Put Him In Jail” – Update On CM Punk’s Real-Life Incident Outside WWE

The fan whom CM Punk recently confronted has broken their silence.

On April 20, The Second City Saint was involved in an incident at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where he smacked the phone out of a fan’s hand.

In the video that was released by TMZ, the fan can be seen filming Bayley and Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, who were hugging and saying goodbye to each other.

CM Punk then marched toward the fan, angrily smacking his phone, causing it to crash on the floor as the bystanders watched in amazement.

Another video recently released by the tabloid showed how close the fan was to Bayley and Lee, where he yelled, “We love you, Bayley.” The Role Model could also be seen telling the fan to go away, leading to Punk stepping in.

Similar incidents in the past have resulted in wrestlers being reprimanded by the cops or sued by the victims; however, the fan has claimed that he is not looking to get the cops involved, nor is he willing to sue CM Punk.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, the fan claimed that he had just one demand.

I want an apology — shake my hand — I’m not gonna sue him or put him in jail. I just want an apology.

As of this moment, there is no update on Punk’s response to the fan demanding an apology. It remains to be seen if the 47-year-old WWE superstar releases an official statement.

CM Punk Details Bizarre Fan Interaction

CM Punk returned to WWE in 2023 at the peak of his popularity, having been fired from AEW due to a backstage altercation with Jack Perry.

Since then, he has remained a top babyface in the Stamford promotion, winning the World Heavyweight Championship a couple of times.

While Punk is popular worldwide, he also seeks privacy from fans. During an interview with GQ, he detailed a bizarre fan interaction, where he caught a person shoving something into his mail slot.

I heard my mail slot jingling, and I was expecting, I don’t know, a check, probably, in the mail. I ran downstairs, and I looked down my flight of stairs, and I didn’t know exactly what I was seeing. Upon further inspection, I went around, I opened up my window, and I looked outside onto the street, and there was a fan shoving something into my mail slot.

I was like, ‘This can’t be good.’ So I grabbed my Louisville Slugger and I walked downstairs, and I’m thinking, ‘I’m just gonna open this door and confront this person.’ Essentially, what they did was jam an entire Easter basket into my one-inch-by-five-inch mail slot.
