Update On Becky Lynch Return From Injury

Becky Lynch injured

Becky Lynch has been out of action since SummerSlam and a recent update has provided some insight into her recovery.

At SummerSlam on July 30th in Nashville, Becky Lynch challenged Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Title in a WrestleMania 38 match. Just like at WrestleMania, Belair beat Lynch to put an end to a rivalry that lasted about one year.

After the match was over, Lynch was clearly favoring her right shoulder. She also turned babyface by hugging Belair. Moments later, Bayley returned to WWE along with the Damage CTRL group of Dakota Kai & IYO SKY, which led to Lynch standing next to Belair as an ally. It could have led to Lynch/Belair teaming up, but Lynch hasn’t been able to wrestle since then.

In an update on Lynch’s situation, Fightful Select is reporting that WWE was hoping that Lynch would avoid shoulder surgery and return in a few months after going through rehab. The report went on to state that Lynch’s doctors and physical therapists believed in September that she was still a “couple of months” from returning.

The story from Fightful added that people that are part of WWE creative were hoping to have Lynch back by the end of the year, but that wasn’t guaranteed and was more of an optimistic view since she wasn’t going to have shoulder surgery.

Lynch was at this past Monday’s Raw in Oklahoma City likely to support husband Seth “Freakin” Rollins in his first US Title defense.

Rollins and Lynch were at last Thursday’s Chicago Bears-Washington Commanders game that the Bears lost. Rollins was proudly displaying the US Title at the game.
