Becky Lynch once did a lingerie photoshoot after a heartbreaking breakup with a current WWE star, a move she regrets to this day.

Before dating and marrying Seth Rollins, The Man had a romantic relationship with Finn Balor earlier in her wrestling career. In her book, “Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl,” the current Women’s Intercontinental Champion described The Prince as her first real love.

Becky Lynch also detailed their painful breakup after the former Universal Champion moved from California to Tokyo to wrestle for New Japan. The 39-year-old admitted that she knew their relationship would end once he left for the Land of the Rising Sun. She was not wrong.

When he made it to Japan and called me a few days later, we agreed the relationship was over but that we would always remain friends. But to quote the famous song by the band The Script, ‘When a heart breaks, no, it don’t break even’—and I was absolutely the more devastated one.

Becky Lynch Receives An Unexpected Offer

Following her breakup with Finn Balor, Becky Lynch took her cousin’s advice to return to Canada. She then received an offer to do custom matches for Ring Angels in North Carolina. The $150 deal included the Irish star doing a lingerie photo shoot.

Although the idea was against her values, the current Women’s Intercontinental Champion agreed to do the photoshoot. She admitted that her heartbreak, her need to feel good about herself, and her desire to make it to the top made her justify it to herself at the time. Nevertheless, she confessed that she hated every second of it.

It was, of course, completely against anything I had set out to do. I wanted to prove that I should be looked at for my technical ability, and had never wanted to sexualize myself lest that take away from my credibility as a wrestler. I did it anyway.

In my confusion, my heartbreak, my wanting to make it to the top and feel good about myself, I justified, All the WWE girls do it; it’s just part of the job. I hated it. I hated every second of it. Trying to t into the mold that I had so vehemently set out to break felt like I was selling my soul for $150. I still cringe every time I see those photos—this fluffy, awkward nineteen-year-old trying to look sexy while so obviously feeling uncomfortable.
