Trish Stratus Addresses WWE Future Following Scrapped Plans
Trish Stratus is someone who has done it all in WWE.
The former seven-time Women’s Champion was one of the first wrestlers to elevate the Women’s Division in WWE to new heights.
Her combination of charisma and innovative in-ring work made her a star in the company and brought her a legion of fans.
Trish Stratus was also the first crush of many fans growing up with the company’s Ruthless Aggression Era.
Stratus has been a part-time wrestler over the past few years and never really received a farewell tour or sendoff. She wrestled in a bout for the WWE Women’s Title last year at the Evolution PLE against Tiffany Stratton.
Trish Stratus Is Looking For Closure In WWE
Trish Stratus recently teased in an interview with WrestleZone that she might come back for a sendoff, saying that the WWE Universe will need the closure on their “Stratusfaction”.
She spoke about how her 25th anniversary year with WWE was an amazing celebration, but plans for doing more of a proper sendoff were scrapped because her mother, who was battling cancer, passed away.
The 25th anniversary year was a special year. [WWE and I] worked together to see how we can celebrate it.
It turned out really good with the homecoming moment, where I could team up with Tiffy. Being part of Evolution, all women’s pay-per-view, obviously, was amazing. Coming back to the Royal Rumble as 25. So, we kind of like plotted it out.
My mom got sick last year, and she passed. So there were plans [for more].
So, I do think there should be a bit of a finale moment. I’m very much about closure. So I feel like that I would need a little bit of closure. And I think maybe you guys need some closure on your Stratusfaction as well. Maybe.
