Triple H’s WWE Position “More Secure Now Than It Was Two Years Ago”
A veteran claimed that Triple H’s WWE CCO position is more secure now compared to two years ago.
Triple H (aka Paul Levesque) took over as the head of WWE creative in 2022 and is currently in the role of Chief Content Officer (CCO) in the company. While The Cerebral Assassin was hailed for his creative regime in the first few years, he has been facing some backlash regarding some decisions from the past year.
There were speculations within the internet wrestling community that Triple H might get removed from his WWE CCO position by the TKO group as a result of criticism regarding his creative. Nevertheless, it was recently announced that Paul Levesque has renewed his contract with a new multi-year deal and will continue as the CCO. Meanwhile, the wrestling veteran, Eric Bischoff gave his two cents about Levesque’s job security.
Triple H’s WWE role may be more secure than two years ago
Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff started off by saying he’s not surprised that Triple H has renewed his WWE contract. Eric also opened up on Ari Emanuel and TKO allegedly interfering in his job:
I’m not surprised. I didn’t know that he was up for a new agreement. Certainly not surprised that he got another one, and hopefully he got a raise. Because I think if anything, the last couple of WrestleManias is where you’ve had interference from people who really don’t understand the audience as well as they think they do. And I don’t mean that with disrespect, because obviously Ari Emanuel and the people around him have forgotten more about entertainment and connecting with the audience than yours truly will ever experience.”
Eric Bischoff further explained why Triple H is needed in WWE and why his position is more secure than before:
As someone who kind of understands the inside a little bit, who’s watching from the outside and seeing the patterns that I have a tendency to see, I see that a lot of people, it’s sheer enthusiasm. You ended up with too many cooks in the kitchen when it came to making these decisions, and unfortunately the cooks with the least experience had the most stroke. Now do we think that’s going to keep happening, or do we think that this group of people who are really, really smart are going, you know what, we really do need this guy? I think Paul’s position is probably more secure now than it was two years ago,” claimed Eric. [h/t WrestlingNews.co]
