Breaking: Triple H Announces Future WWE PLE Date And Location

Triple H is looking ahead to WWE Backlash. 

The WWE Royal Rumble is just hours away from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but the WWE machine never really stops.

Following the Royal Rumble, the Elimination Chamber PLE takes place on February 28th in Chicago, and then it’s time for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas on April 18 & 19.

After WrestleMania is usually the Backlash PLE, and that’s going to be the case again this year as WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, announced on social media.

“We are moments away from the Royal Rumble here in Saudi Arabia. An epic night where the Road to WrestleMania begins. But when WrestleMania finishes, there’s a big event called Backlash.”

“And here tonight, I’m going to let you know that on May 9th, Saturday, May 9th, the Benchmark International Arena, Tampa, Florida, Backlash returns. It’s gonna be big, so Tampa, Florida, I just got one question. Are you ready?”

That means on Saturday, May 9th, the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida, will host the annual Backlash PLE, which typically follows WrestleMania.

Triple H Promises Surprises At WWE Royal Rumble

Regarding the Royal Rumble, former 2-time Rumble winner Triple H has promised surprises for WWE fans.

“The Royal Rumble is one of those events that’s amazing to see because every couple of minutes there is a new entrant that enters into the fray.

So as this match goes on, over the hour that it takes or so, you’re getting constantly surprised by who is next and the strategy of what happens when that person comes out.

This year’s going to be no different, there’s a lot of surprises in store but also it’s one of the most star-studded Rumbles that I can recall.

You’ve got Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Jey Uso, Bron Breakker, Logan Paul’s going to be in there.

On the women’s side, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, they’re just stacked cards, this one is gonna be epic.”

The WWE Royal Rumble takes place this Saturday, January 31st, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Here’s the lineup.

  • Men’s Royal Rumble Match
  • Undisputed WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Sami Zayn
  • Women’s Royal Rumble Match
  • AJ Styles vs. Gunther – If Styles loses, then he must retire

The Royal Rumble streams live on Saturday, January 31, at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT, exclusively on ESPN in the United States and Netflix internationally.
