Triple H Makes Massive WWE Admission: “They Weren’t Going To Follow The Rules Anyway”
Triple H has commented on a new match being added to the WWE WrestleMania 42 card.
The rivalry between Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre has been going on for several months. Each man has cost the other big matches, like when McIntyre attacked Fatu during an Elimination Chamber Match qualifier, and Fatu stopped McIntyre from using a title during his WWE Championship loss to Cody Rhodes.
There was also a backstage mystery attack on Fatu last fall that put Fatu on the shelf for a couple of months. Fatu claims McIntyre was responsible, but McIntyre has denied it. On the March 20th SmackDown, the two men brawled all over the building and even outside the building throughout the show.
On WWE SmackDown in Pittsburgh, Jacob Fatu was in the ring calling out Drew McIntyre for another fight, but both men were clearly hurt after the brawling from one week prior. SmackDown GM Nick Aldis got involved. Aldis put Drew McIntyre in a match against Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania.
Aldis said that WWE won’t be responsible for what they do in the match. Aldis said there will be no disqualifications and no countouts. Aldis said the Drew/Fatu match will be an Unsanctioned Match at WrestleMania. Drew was happy about it.
Triple H Reacts To Drew McIntyre-Jacob Fatu Match Announcement
As for Triple H, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, he promoted the match on social media while remarking that Drew and Jacob weren’t going to follow the rules anyway, so an Unsanctioned Match makes sense.
They weren’t going to follow the rules anyway…
@DMcIntyreWWE vs. @jacobfatu_wwe will face each other in an UNSANCTIONED MATCH at #WrestleMania!

There were rumors that WWE was going to do a Hell in a Cell match for McIntyre and Fatu at WrestleMania, but the creative team led by Triple H went in another direction by going with an Unsanctioned Match instead.
