Triple H didn’t seem to care when a wrestler suggested some WWE storyline ideas on the main roster.

As the WWE Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque oversees the talent roster and is in charge of the creative direction on the WWE main roster.

It’s a big job that Hunter’s father-in-law, Vince McMahon, had for about 40 years, while Triple H learned from him.

As a wrestler for 30 years, Levesque became an all-time great in WWE and a Hall of Famer, but his current role is completely different because it’s up to him to decide the fate of WWE superstars under contract.

While speaking to Duke Hudson on Between Two Jobs, former WWE 24/7 Champion Reggie had an idea for a masked character on the main roster, but he claims Triple H didn’t listen to his pitch, so Reggie was sent to NXT instead.

“It was just, I tried to have a conversation with someone. Had a conversation with him (Triple H) trying to rewrite myself because we knew that the 24×7 stuff was going down the drain. And I’m like, I have this idea, this character with the mask and this and that, Rey Mysterio’s on board, and it’d be super cool.

And then he (Triple H) said, all right. Like, he’s looking at me as I’m talking to him, but he’s not listening. And so, I left the conversation, left the room thinking like, that was a waste. That didn’t get anything, go anywhere. And then I get a message from John Cone saying, ‘Hey, Reg, we’re thinking about seeing you back to NXT. How do you feel about that?’ I said, ‘Cool.’ And that was it. Like, I wasn’t gonna say, no. I would have got fired.”

Triple H Enjoys Running WWE With Nick Khan

The WWE hierarchy sees Triple H running the show as the Chief Content Officer, while Nick Khan has been in the role of WWE President for over five years. It’s up to Levesque to run things creatively, while Khan is more of the businessman who makes decisions that he feels are best for WWE.

When speaking about his friend Nick Khan, Triple H made some bold claims about his buddy Khan.

“I’ve never been around a better businessman. What is incredible out of him is not only his mind for the business, for, you know, rights fees and ratings and analyzing all those things, but he grew up a fan of this.

He grew up a fan of boxing and combat sports, but especially of pro wrestling. He’s as deep a knowledge as anybody I’ve met out there. And he’s just straightforward. What you see is what you get. And man, I love working with him every day.

So, to me, he and I together, it’s like this perfect partnership of being able to do the business side, but this energy that we both feel and have and love for this business like nothing else.”
