Triple H Signs New WWE Deal; Likely Wrestle Through WrestleMania 35 In 2019

WWE recently filed paperwork with the SEC which revealed that Triple H recently signed a brand-new three-year contract with the company. In addition to being the Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative, Triple H was also under a wrestler’s contract with WWE which expired. Triple H’s new deal is dated May 9, 2016 and he’s expected to be wrestling at least through WrestleMania 35 in 2019. This is according to PWInsider.

Triple H was last seen on WWE television losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 32 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. He last wrestled in late April on WWE’s WrestleMania Revenge tour of Europe.

Mark’s reaction: Triple H will be turning 47 years old in July and he still looks great. Although I didn’t enjoy his WrestleMania 32 match against Roman Reigns, I thought his match against Dean Ambrose at WWE Roadblock was quite good. I don’t know if Triple H has got a lot left in the tank (as Mark Henry would put it), but he still has enough left in the tank.

I don’t mind Triple H wrestling through WrestleMania 35 in 2019, I would just prefer if his matches at the upcoming WrestleMania’s were not marquee ones. There are so many new and talented wrestlers on WWE’s roster that should be headlining the biggest show of the year. Leave the main events to them while Triple H can be there to add depth to the “show of shows.”
