Triple H Bans Ex-WWE Champion From Company For Insulting Stephanie McMahon
A former WWE Champion is unlikely to return to the company after an incident with Stephanie McMahon, according to reports.
Alberto Del Rio initially joined the Stamford-based company in 2009. His first run lasted five years, during which he held the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Title.
Although the Mexican star was fired in 2014 due to “unprofessional conduct,” he returned in 2015. However, his comeback was brief. Del Rio was released again in September 2016, a month after receiving a suspension for violation of WWE’s wellness policy.
As WWE acquired AAA last year, it was reported that the former world champion had re-signed with the company. Nevertheless, he departed AAA a few months later without making any appearances on WWE TV.
Alberto Del Rio Had A Personal Incident With Ex-WWE Chairwoman Stephanie McMahon
El Planchitas of the Mexican outlet RECORD recently addressed Alberto Del Rio’s status with WWE. He claimed the former world champion will never return to the Stamford-based company due to an incident he had with Stephanie McMahon, WWE CCO Triple H’s wife.
The report claimed that the Mexican star verbally insulted The Billion Dollar Princess, which did not sit well with her husband.
By the way… do you know why he was never going to return to WWE? Well, because of that same violent and aggressive attitude, which, according to some sources, led him one day to verbally insult none other than Stephanie McMahon, the daughter of the former owner of WWE, Vince McMahon, and wife of the current boss of bosses of the company, Triple H, who—I’m told—took those harsh insults from the Mexican towards his wife as a personal affront…so he would never allow his return to WWE, and even less so with this.
