Trick Williams Makes Major Announcement On WWE SmackDown

Trick Williams has had a brilliant run on the WWE main roster ever since being called up from NXT. He was called up in January of this year and has since gone on to have a great run.

He has shared the ring with stalwarts like Sami Zayn and Randy Orton before being involved in a proper mainstream programme with the then-United States champion, Sami Zayn.

The SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis, rewarded him with a title shot at WrestleMania 42, and he defeated Sami Zayn to become the new United States Champion.

Since winning the belt, his popularity has grown even further, and he has become one of the brand’s top stars. He came out to the ring to a huge pop from the Barcelona crowd as he came to the ring with Lil Yachty.

During his segment tonight, before being interrupted by Ricky Saints and Carmelo Hayes, he made a huge announcement on the show. Trick confirmed his participation in the upcoming King of the Ring tournament.

The winner of this prestigious tournament will receive a shot at the World Championship of their brand at SummerSlam. If Trick were to win the tournament, he would face either Cody Rhodes or Gunther for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
