CM Punk continues to dominate headlines around the world of professional wrestling.

In case you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past 48-hours, CM Punk set the IWC ablaze following AEW’s All Out pay-per-view, Sunday night. The newly crowned AEW World Champion took part in the event’s post-show press conference and ‘The Voice of The Voiceless’ wasted no time in taking shots at former champion, ‘Hangman’, Adam Page as well as the company’s EVP’s Kenny Omega, Matt, and Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks. Punk began the presser calling out Ring of Honor star and former friend, Colt Cabana, and reiterated that he had no part to play in Cabana’s recently dwindling role in All Elite Wrestling.

Following Punk’s participation during the presser, it’s been widely reported that Punk was involved in a physical altercation with Omega and The Bucks along with AEW Producer and one of Punk’s closest friends, Ace Steel.

In an updated provided by Fightful Select, an unnamed top WWE star offered up their reaction of the reported altercation between CM Punk, Omega, and The Bucks:

“You can’t expect a lot of people here to have a lot of positive things to say about Punk, and I think he’s aware of that and has probably come to peace with it. I feel like he’s trying to run things there, and it looks like he’s doing it.”

Another anonymous WWE star told Fightful that AEW needs to capitalize off the ongoing rift between Punk and the company’s EVP’s or it was all for not.

“None of them have business talking about drawing houses or losing fans or interest. They have a good show but this is still the biggest piece of business they’ve done and they have to capitalize.”
