Tony Khan Steps In To Decide AEW World Championship Stipulation For Revolution
Former AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page dropped a bomb on everyone last week as he made a huge declaration regarding his future in the promotion.
Page is set to challenge MJF for the World Championship at AEW Revolution next month, and he stated that if MJF agrees to a Texas Death Match and he loses, Page will never challenge for the World Championship again.
MJF was intrigued by Adam Page’s proposal and stated that he required a week to think about the stipulation, and the two rivals met in the ring tonight to discuss the stipulation.
Tony Khan makes the final call for the AEW World Title match
The AEW World Champion came up with a unique solution as he looked to pick a stipulation for their match. He challenged Page to accept a coin toss for their stipulation.
One side would mean that they would fight in a Texas Death Match, but if it falls on MJF’s side, it’ll be a one-way No-Disqualification match, where the Salt of the Earth can do anything, but it’s a straight wrestling match for Page.
MJF tossed the coin, and it came out in his favor as Tony Schiavone announced the match as a One-Way No DQ match. However, Page suspected foul play with the quarter and asked MJF to show the coin.
After MJF refused, JetSpeed and Brodido forced the champion back in the ring, and he handed the quarter over, which proved to be a rigged one. Annoyed at MJF’s actions, Tony Khan told Tony that now the AEW World Championship will be defended in a Texas Death Match.
