Tony Khan has revealed that the AEW roster will be getting a big new star soon, saying that a “dream signing” is on the way.

2021 saw AEW expanding its presence with the addition of Rampage and Dark: Elevation, as well as the signings of big-name talents such as Bryan Danielson and CM Punk.

AEW President Tony Khan has hinted over the last few weeks that even more new names are on their way, saying that he wanted to “remain active” in signing great wrestlers.

Ahead of Dynamite making its TBS debut on January 5th, Khan has indicated that a new star could be arriving in the near future.

In an interview with Josh Martinez of Z100, he said that a “dream signing” would be coming “pretty soon.”

“There is [a dream signing]. They are in North America and they’re coming. Pretty soon. It’s going to be awesome and I’m excited.”

Recently, the company’s roster expansion has continued with the additions of Kyle O’Reilly and Mercedes Martinez. It has also been reported by Bodyslam.net that Brody King has signed with the promotion.

It has already been announced that the first Dynamite on TBS will feature a big rematch for the AEW World Championship. ‘Hangman’ Adam Page and Bryan Danielson, who wrestled to a 60-minute draw at Winter Is Coming, will meet once again with the title on the line. This time, there will be three judges present at ringside in case the two reach the one-hour mark for a second time.

Jade Cargill and Ruby Soho will also face off to crown the first-ever TBS Champion, while Jurassic Express will attempt to dethrone the Lucha Bros and capture the AEW Tag Team Championships.
