Tony Khan has confirmed that he was interested in buying WWE.

Earlier this year, court filings revealed that Khan was a serious bidder in the WWE sale. In fact, he was one of the final four bidders and had submitted an offer of roughly $6.9 billion.

According to reports, his bid was the lowest among the final four, and WWE was eventually sold to Endeavor Group Holdings for $8.5 billion. The full details of Khan’s bid were made public on March 19, 2026, after court documents from an ongoing shareholder lawsuit were unredacted.

Tony Khan Breaks Silence on Attempt to Buy WWE

Tony Khan recently appeared on the Coach and Bro Show on April 7, where he confirmed his interest in purchasing WWE. He explained that his involvement was genuine, as he wanted a chance to be part of the bidding process and potentially bring together two of the biggest wrestling promotions in the world.

Tony Khan stated that the number he submitted was “very reasonable,” according to him, and admitted that he would have been disappointed if he hadn’t taken part in the process. However, he declined to go into further detail about the bid due to confidentiality.

He said:

“I was very interested in the process, and if there was going to be a sale, I at least wanted to have a chance to be involved. If it had gone for any less than that, I would have really kicked myself.”

“While respecting the confidentiality of that, I would say that I don’t have any complaints about that process from my side that I would want to talk about right now.”

“I do think there was some stuff to that, and while respecting the confidentiality of the whole thing, I would also say that, at the time, just reiterating, if it had gone for any less, I would have beat myself up. Why wouldn’t you put in a bid? I thought that was a very reasonable number. That’s what’s been written but again that’s not for me, but not based on the information given to me, I’ve gone out and been respectful. That was several years ago.”

On March 28, 2026, Jonathan Coachman, host of the Coach and Bro Show, publicly invited Tony Khan to appear on the show:

We have an open invitation for @TonyKhanto come on our show. We had a great conversation today with one of his female stars Maya. If he came on shows like ours instead of podcasts of people will only ask questions they want to know instead of asking questions to make him think about how he is going about his business. Then maybe a few things would change.

I know this from my time in the WWE you can’t possibly have all of the ideas and the more good people you put around you normally the better any product is. Come on Tony. Any day.

Tony Khan quickly responded, saying he would love to join, noting that he has been a longtime fan of both Coachman and Vince Russo. Khan also praised Russo’s recent creative work in JCW Lunacy, which made his willingness to appear even more notable, given Russo’s past criticism of All Elite Wrestling.
