Tony Khan Apologizes For Technical Issues During AEW Dynamite

Tony Khan AEW Dynamite

Tony Khan has offered an apology after AEW Dynamite was beset with technical issues.

The 27th of September edition of Dynamite took place in Denver as the stars of AEW prepared for the WrestleDream pay-per-view which takes place on October 1st. The main event segment saw Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page sign the contract for their bout on that show but the attention was soon diverted to Jay White being attacked backstage as the show went off the air by masked figures.

However, during the show, those watching in the United States on TBS may have noticed some technical issues. Spotty audio was noticed while at one point the feed cut out completely.

Taking to social media, Tony Khan offered an apology for the issues and noted that they didn’t affect those watching the show internationally, although those viewing on TSN in Canada will have suffered the same issues as they were using the same feed as TBS:

“I apologize for the persistent issues at @TBSNetwork tonight with our #AEWDynamite feed. As I understand, there were issues at TBS with a new operating system; thankfully AEW’s international feeds were unaffected. We’re working now to put a clean feed on TBS West later tonight!”

“TSN played the US feed of the show tonight, which is why they had the same issues on their feed as well.”

What else did Tony Khan present on Dynamite?

The show opened with Rey Fenix putting the AEW International Championship on the line for the first time against Jeff Jarrett after Tony Khan revealed that Fenix had been cleared to compete at the last minute. Fenix retained his gold but will be defending it once again on the 4th anniversary edition of Dynamite against Nick Jackson who won a three-way match against Claudio Castagnoli and Brian Cage to claim the title shot.

There was also some bad news on the show as Adam Cole revealed the extent of his injuries and that he’d need surgery after his ankle “exploded” on the previous week’s show.
