Tony D’Angelo Reveals Phase Two Of His NXT Return Tonight

Former NXT North American Champion, Tony D’Angleo returned to the black and silver brand at NXT Deadline last year after being away from the promotion for several months.

He kept attacking various NXT stars in the weeks following his return, before repeated attacks on DarkState led to D’Angelo finally breaking his silence. He stated that he returned to the promotion for two concrete reasons.

The first phase of his return, as he put it, focused on destroying DarkState, who had taken everything away from The Don. He endured a brutal match with Dion Lennox this past weekend at Vengeance Day.

Tony D’Angelo has his sights set on the NXT Championship

Lennox and Tony went to war at the Premium Live Event, but the former North American Champion finally came out on top, achieving phase one of his return.

He came out to the ring tonight and made his plans clear as he was done with DarkState now. Tony D’Angelo issued a challenge to Joe Hendry and stated that he’s coming after him now.

Hendry is the current NXT Champion, and that is the one title that Tony hasn’t yet won on the black and silver brand. With Ricky Saints also vying for the title, it’ll be interesting to see what happens between now and Stand and Deliver.
