Tony D’Angelo Achieves Phase One Of His NXT Return On Vengeance Day 2026

Tony D’Angelo made his surprise NXT return at Deadline towards the end of last year and proceeded to wreak havoc for weeks after his return, without making his intentions clear.

He then proceeded to attack DarkState on multiple occasions, before confirming that phase one of his return was focused on destroying the group as they took everything away from him.

He got into a heated rivalry with Dion Lennox and the others and their match tonight was off to a blistering start as they both wrestled a brutal brawl backstage before their match.

Lennox and D’Angelo went to hell against one another in the ring before Tony D’Angelo managed to defeat Lennox after rejuvenating himself mid-match. He hit him with a spear to put things to an end.

D’Angelo followed it up with an Exclamation Point in the middle of the ring before pinning the leader of DarkState and earning a huge win back on the Black and Silver brand as he achieved the first phase of his return.
