Toni Storm Makes AEW Debut On Dynamite

Toni Storm is All Elite

Former WWE Superstar Toni Storm is officially All Elite having made her AEW debut on the latest edition of Dynamite.

It was announced on the March 25th episode of AEW Rampage that the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament would kick off on Dynamite with The Bunny facing a mystery opponent.

Speculation was rampant for the next few days with several recently released WWE Superstars such as Ember Moon – now known as Athena – being in the frame to be the newest addition to the AEW roster.

On Dynamite, The Bunny discovered that she would be clashing with former NXT UK Women’s Champion Toni Storm. After a back and forth contest, Storm scored her first victory under the AEW banner after hitting Storm Zero.

Toni Storm debuted in WWE in 2017 when she appeared in the Mae Young Classic. The Australian star went on to win the tournament the following year and later became NXT UK Women’s Champion. After a period in NXT, Storm was called up to the main roster on July 9th 2021.

On the Christmas Eve episode of SmackDown, Storm unsuccessfully challenged Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Only days later it was reported that she had left the company. It emerged that, after competing at a live event, she had flown home at her own expense.

While Storm hasn’t publicly commented on her departure, it has been reported that burnout played a part in her decision to quit the company. There have also been suggestions that her booking during her feud with Charlotte Flair may have also been a factor.
