Toni Storm Advocates Thunder Rosa Being Stripped Of AEW Women’s Title

Whilst Toni Storm would no doubt be happy to fight for the title, she feels that Thunder Rosa should be stripped of the AEW Women’s Championship if her injury persists.

Toni Storm was originally scheduled to battle Thunder Rosa for the AEW Women’s Championship at All Out 2022, before Rosa was forced to withdraw due to injury. In place of that match, Storm won a fatal four-way contest which also included Hikaru Shida, Jamie Hayter and Dr Britt Baker to become interim title holder.

Despite having a number of successful defenses of the interim crown, Storm has been unable to go up against Rosa for the full title as she is still recovering.

It would seem Toni Storm’s patience over the situation may be running thin, as during an interview with The Ringer she has mentioned that anyone who can’t come to work and defend a belt should be stripped of it.

Personally, I think she should just come to work and defend her championship like she’s supposed to, like a champion should. But if the injury lingers too long, I believe she should probably be stripped. And then I should be the AEW undisputed Women’s World Champion like I was supposed to be at All Out. That’s verbatim. I think she should defend her title. I think all champions should defend that championship. That doesn’t just go for Thunder Rosa. That goes for everybody.

Toni Storm’s next defense of her interim AEW Women’s Championship comes this Saturday at Full Gear, where she puts the title on the line against Jamie Hayter. She also recently discussed what Saraya brings to the AEW product.
