A big-name TNA Wrestling star is staying put.

After a tumultuous few weeks for TNA Wrestling, the company has finally been able to share some more positive news. It’s been announced that the promotion has extended the contract of former World Champion Josh Alexander.

The news comes after it was revealed that members of the TNA roster had sent a letter to Anthem Entertainment to express their disappointment at the firing of former President Scott D’Amore.

Meanwhile, it’s been reported that Steve Maclin’s contract is set to expire in May, although there’s no word on whether there have been talks between the two sides.

New Deal Was TNA Wrestling Decision

Following the news of the contract extension, it’s been reported that the deal was triggered by TNA.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Alexander actually asked the company not to take up the option on his contract as he “wanted to survey the landscape if possible.” With that being said, Alexander was believed to be open to negotiating a new contract.

Despite this, there are reportedly no concerns over Alexander meeting his obligations.

For the announcement a “re-signs” graphic was drawn up, but this was replaced by “extended.”

It’s believed that Josh Alexander’s contract will expire in February 2025.
