TNA Star Hospitalized After Suffering Injury At Rebellion
A top TNA star endured more than a title loss during the company’s Rebellion pay-per-view on Saturday.
Trey Miguel won the International Championship from Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo at No Surrender in February by cashing in his Feast or Fired briefcase, ending the latter’s reign after 70 days.
Miguel subsequently entered into a feud with Order 4’s Mustafa Ali, as they clashed in an intergender match at TNA Sacrifice with Jada Stone and Tasha Steelz as their respective partners.
During the bout, other members of the faction ambushed Miguel, leaving Stone to fend for herself. Ali then hit a 450 Splash on her to secure the victory for his team.
In their buildup to the Rebellion match, Ali often cut promos questioning why someone like Miguel held a championship in the company when he was far more deserving. He also pointed out Migue’s lack of backup options as compared to his own group.
Subsequently, brawls ensued between the two wrestlers, with Trey Miguel finding allies like Moose.
Trey Miguel Injured & Hospitalized After TNA Rebellion
Trey Miguel went into TNA Rebellion with a plan to defend his International Championship.
However, a major botched spot saw him get injured, thus leaving him vulnerable to attack. At one point in their match, Miguel attempted a Meteora on Mustafa Ali outside the ring.
However, he planned to execute it on the steel steps that were laid out for the spot. While Miguel executed the move, his knee crashed hard on the steps upon landing, as he immediately clutched his knees and cried in agony.
In the closing minute, members of Order 4 made their presence felt by the ringside and pulled out the referee. The Great Hands duo of John Skyler and Jason Hotch attacked Miguel with their helmets, neutralizing the TNA International Champion.
Ali capitalized on the interference and climbed to the top rope, executing his 450 Splash for the victory and to become the new champion.
Later, Trey Miguel took to X, confirming that the stairs spot had split his knee.
